The University of Providence (UP - formerly the University of Great Falls) and The Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School (TJAGLCS) have worked in partnership since 2004 to offer paralegal instruction. ABA approved Paralegal Studies programs require students seeking an Associate or Bachelor degree in Paralegal Studies to complete 10 credit hours of paralegal instruction in a traditional in-class (not distance learning) setting. This program allows you to meet the ABA in-class requirement by completing 27D10 AIT. The remainder of the degree coursework can be completed remotely through UP's online learning system.
College transcripts and military training records will be reviewed to determine transferrable credits. The Registrar will apply these credits toward the requirements for an Associate or Bachelor of Science degree in Legal and Paralegal Studies.
The following UP Legal and Paralegal Studies courses will be considered satisfied provided the student has completed the appropriate 27D10 training.
27D10 Soldiers Credit:
PLG 101 (Intro to Law) - 3 Credits
PLG 203 (Intro to Legal Analysis) - 3 Credits
Approved Legal Electives - 4 Credits
