Scope: This course educates newly appointed Warrant Officers in the fundamentals of military law office management. Instruction is built around the Judge Advocate Warrant Officer core competencies and includes Knowledge Management, Resource Management, Force Management, Security Management, Legal Personnel Management, Legal Systems Integration and Innovation, Leadership, and professional writing. In addition, each student is responsible for completing a proposal paper prior to graduation.
Prerequisites: Selection for appointment as a Judge Advocate Warrant Officer, MOS 270A, or warrant officers approved for branch transfer to MOS 270A; and Army Warrant Officer Candidate School graduate or sister service equivalent. Personnel selected for attendance must complete the Pre-Warrant Officer Basic Distance Learning Course on JAG University, no later than 30 days prior to the start date of the course.
